Welcome to all the new cub scouts who came from
various packs in our area to join our troop.
There are two important announcements for April. On April 2nd there will be a
parent orientation for all the new cub scout parents. This orientation will give you information
on what takes place in the troop and inform you of troop activities, etc. This will take place during the regular meeting that
night. Summer camp is rapidly approaching and all scouts
must register by April 16th in order to get the discounted rate of
$300 per week. If for any reason the scouts do not register and make their
total deposit by that date the fee will be raised to $325.00 till the date of
summer camp. All the new scouts should
attend the Dan Beard program at the Summer Camp to help them advance in rank. On April 9 we also have our annual fund raising
program at Finally note that there is no meeting on April 23
when schools in town are closed. |

Camping Trip Notes Permission slips must be
handed in at least 2 weeks prior to a trip, preferably with payments for the
trip. Permission forms are available on the troop web site. Each Patrol is responsible
to arrange transportation to and from camping trips. Please note-If for any
reason, your scout cannot attend the camping trip for the full length of the
trip, you must advise the Scoutmaster.
The participation in camping trips is essential for the success of the
trip, as well as the scouting experience.
All gear described in the mailing for the trip must be with the
scout. Check with your scout or with
the patrol leaders to the proper gear needed for the trips if for any reason
you are uncertain of what is required. |

Uniforms All scouts are expected in full
uniform at meetings. Information on uniforms and insignia is in the Scout
handbook. If there are hardships,
please speak to the Scoutmaster in obtaining the uniform. The uniform is available at BSA service
centers or Ramsey Outdoor. Committee Meetings All parents are invited to attend and participate in
our committee meetings. Please see the
activities calendar above for the date and time of this meeting. |
Other Information and Camping Notice No meetings when school is
closed. All troop meetings start at 7:30PM and end at 9PM. We ask that all Scouts be picked up no
later then 9:15PM. Prior to trip departure, the
Scoutmaster must approve any early departures from the trips. Scouts, whose siblings wish to attend trips
and are not registered with BSA, must have the parents join the trip for the
entire length of time while sibling is present. Cell Phones and Electronic Equipment are prohibited
at all camping trips. All scouts who sign up for a
trip are responsible for payment at least 2 weeks prior to the trip, unless
previous payment date has been established. If payments and permission forms
are not received by these dates, the scout will not be allowed on the
trip. This is due to the requirement
of the troop to pay fees in advance on the behalf of the scout. |
